Lalit Deshpande is a budding classical vocalist, based in Pune, the cultural capital of India.
Lalit is a ‘Sangeet Visharad’ (Indian classical vocal music) from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya
He has received formal training in Indian classical vocal music for more than 12 years, from Pt. Ramesh Kanole (Nanded) and Pt. Vijay Koparkar (Pune).
He has received prizes in numerous vocal music competitions. To name a few –
• First prize in classical vocal genre in a state-level competition organized by ‘Madhukauns’ (Pune) – 2015
• Third prize in classical vocal genre in a state-level competition organized by Ashtavinayak Pratishthan (Pune) — 2015
• First prize in classical vocal genre in a state-level competition organized by ‘Shrirang Kala Niketan’ (Talegaon Dabhade) — 2014
